The Harro East Ballroom is a gorgeous building and it photographed beautifully. There was plenty of space for our 130-person guest count, but they can definitely handle a lot more. Bridget, the coordinator we worked with, was so helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond and gave us great advice about our wedding day timeline, how to decorate the space, what other vendors to work with—everything! Also, the food was delicious! We heard so many compliments from our guests. We did a buffet and loved being able to customize our menu.

our History

As a fourth generation hospitality family, our story began long before Harro East Ballroom ever hosted its first wedding. Since 1906, our family has built restaurants, catered celebrations, and learned firsthand what it truly means to care for guests. In 1998, we saw potential in this historic downtown Rochester building and reimagined it as a place where that legacy could continue in a new way.

Harro East Ballroom carries forward pieces of the city’s early 20th-century growth and expansion. With its soaring ceilings, dramatic windows, and timeless architectural details, the space reflects Rochester’s rich past while offering the modern functionality today’s events require.

For generations, this building has stood as part of the city’s evolution. Today, the ballroom continues that tradition serving as a refined, welcoming setting where weddings, galas, corporate gatherings, and community celebrations become lasting memories woven into Rochester’s story.
